Our Reel Action course is designed specifically for actors and performers who need to operate convincingly with firearms in scripted, dialogue-led scenes.

While the underlying principles of safety, professionalism, and on-set realism remain the same as our core training, this course focuses on performance within a filmed scene, rather than complex tactical problem-solving.

Training takes place at purpose-built facilities in North Wales and centres on working with weapons in dialogue-driven scenarios, where timing, continuity, spatial awareness, and camera awareness are critical.

Professional filming is integrated throughout the course to replicate the pace and pressure of working on set. Participants learn how firearm handling, movement, and performance choices interact with dialogue, blocking, and camera placement in a controlled production-style environment.

This course is also suitable for agents, managers, and acting coaches who wish to support their clients’ development. Group bookings allow agents to place multiple clients on the same course, ensuring a consistent training standard and comparable filmed output.

Training elements include

  • Firearms safety and handling for dialogue-based scenes
  • Movement and positioning within scripted action
  • Working with weapons under camera observation
  • Continuity, timing, and spatial awareness on set
  • Simple scenario work built around scripted dialogue
  • Professional set etiquette and working practices
