Conventional Warfare
Our Conventional Warfare course focuses on weapons handling and tactical movement within open and semi-open environments, reflecting the realities of conventional military and paramilitary operations as portrayed in film and television.
This course is designed to develop credible movement, communication, and weapons discipline outside of close-quarters settings. It does not include urban CQC training, instead concentrating on formations, spacing, transitions, and coordination appropriate to conventional warfare scenarios.
Training takes place at purpose-built facilities in North Wales and is delivered under filmed, production-style conditions, introducing timing, observation, and performance pressure similar to working on set.
Professional filming is integrated throughout the course to replicate the structure and pace of real productions. Operating while filmed reinforces discipline, situational awareness, and consistency of movement across a group — all essential for believable large-scale action scenes.
Training elements include
- Weapons handling and safety in open environments
- Individual and team movement in conventional formations
- Spacing, arcs, and communication appropriate to non-CQC scenarios
- Transitioning between movement states and firing positions
- Fire and manoeuvre principles adapted for performance environments
- Scenario-based training reflecting conventional conflict settings
