Dark Roc · Reel Action · North Wales, UK
Most actors can say they handle firearms.
Reel Action gives you footage that proves it. Shot under production conditions, led by working industry professionals with Netflix, Amazon MGM and Disney+ credits.
An actor can walk into an audition and say they've handled firearms. That's common. What isn't common is being able to show a properly filmed, professionally filmed scene that demonstrates safe handling, correct movement and credible performance under camera pressure.
That's the gap Reel Action fills. Not training for its own sake. Training that produces footage. Footage that shows a coordinator or casting director exactly what you can do before you've set foot on their set.
The instructors delivering this course carry Netflix, Amazon MGM, Disney+ and Sony Pictures credits. They know what real looks like on camera. They are building this course to produce exactly that.
Every Reel Action student receives the full Dark Roc script pack before the course. Six scenarios covering the roles most commonly required of actors in firearms-involving productions, written as production scripts and designed around performance, not just procedure.
Each scenario has two versions: a full production script with scene direction, and a stripped-back dialogue version usable as a self-tape script after the course. The material is yours permanently. For your own performance work after the course.
The supplied scenes give performers different characters, pressures and relationships to play. You will rehearse with direction and feedback, then work through the scene for camera.
A coordinator watching your showreel knows within the first few seconds whether you've been trained or whether you've rehearsed the look of being trained. Grip, stance, muzzle discipline, the way you move through a space. These details are immediately legible to someone who works with firearms on set every day.
Reel Action is filmed under production conditions so you can show how you perform within a scene. Professional coverage and direction, with feedback as the scene develops.
You leave with material you can send directly to a casting director, submit to a coordinator or put in front of a stunt agency. It does the talking before the meeting.
